    Consultant Uro Gynaecologist at Chennai Urology and Robotics Institute (CURI) Hospital

    Consultant Uro Gynaecologist at Chennai Urology and Robotics Institute (CURI) Hospital Established the Urogynaecology specialty in India as a qualified Urologist and Gynaecologist and rendered three decades of exemplary service to underprivileged women since 1987, through “The Government Kasturba Gandhi Hospital” in Chennai.

    Extensively improved the basic amenities for patients in the government hospital, provided quality Urogynaecological treatment facilities in the public hospital on par with private hospitals. As a Professor & HOD, of the Department of Urogynaecology at Government Kasturba Gandhi Hospital & Madras Medical College, she has succeeded in providing scientific and advanced treatment modalities for Urogynaecological problems to the economically compromised section of women patients.

    Lakhs and lakhs of needy underprivileged women patients with Urogynaecological problems have benefitted through the public hospital.
    Served as a champion for the poor desolate women, neglected by others for whom she served with courage, conviction & commitment.

    The majority of my surgical practice involves repair & reconstruction of urinary fistula, POP, SUI, and developmental urogenital tract anomalies.

    Trained thousands of specialists (OB GY and Urology) in Urogynaecology and continues her training. Through training and fellowship programs, the availability of specialized Urogynecological services to almost all remote places in India was made possible.

    Training National & international specialists in the prevention, recognition, and surgical repair of urinary fistula cases since late 1900 .
